Our final evening on board was spent having dinner with many new friends, exchanging email addresses so we may stay in contact.

We bid adieu to them!

As we arrive in our stateroom to pack for our voyage to Kathmandu, Nepal, we watch BBC Breaking News indicating that Kathmandu has experienced a major 7.9 earthquake, with presently about 970 people dead and thousands injured. We are shock, but thankful to be safe.

We’ll staying one night in Shanghai and work on making plans to return to Calgary earlier than expected.

We guess it wasn’t our time, as this happened 1 day before we were to be in Kathmandu ourselves. Of course, our thoughts and prayers go out to all the people and families devastated by this tragic news.

We we now sign-off another trip.
